Looks like the American military draw down is getting worse. A bad sign in a military is when the air force troops get drafted as soldiers. This was how the Nazi military lost its best aircraft mechanics to ground combat crippling their air force.

WASHINGTON — Straining to find ground troops to maintain its force levels in Iraq and Afganistan, the Pentagon has begun deploying thousands of Air Force personnel to combat zones in new jobs as interrogators, prison sentries and gunners on supply trucks.
