I am realizing that as we get ready for our alyiah we are almost out of money here. we will not be able to ship our small lift (10 cubic meters) until april and we need to think about what is important to have with us that will be too expensive to buy in Israel. Now wen need to think almost like refugees who have to live light.
Living light seems to universaly to be a guy thing it will be difficult on my wife to live with so few nice things.
top stuff to take:

Computer (laptop)
Radio gear (small fits in a shoulder bag)
Bicycle (my Gary Fisher mountain bike as it is of high quality and I will not travel with a baby)
VOIP telephone
International unlocked Cell Phones
Camping gear: Sleeping bags, stoves, fuel bottles, cookware, tent,
Backpacks (for carrying shopping stuff from store)
Baby backpack/stroller
Small Personal momentos and documents
Portable Baby Pen
Folding tripod chairs
Heavy boots
4-5 sets of clothes per person
nice feather pillows
Good kitchen cutlery

What I want friends to purchase localy:
cheap Chinese wok cook set with bamboo steamers (you can prepare amazing meals with one of these sets)
Blankets and sheets
Towels
possibly a big toaster oven


What is included in a merkaz klita apartment (so I have told)
refrigerator
2 beds
desk
maybe chairs
table
2 burner stove top
